With 2022 ending in the unexpected loss of our leader, Jimmy Ellis and our founder Jim Ellis, 2023 is beginning with many deserved promotions that will help Jim Ellis Automotive Group to continue the legacy started by these two amazing men.

Rob_Waggoner_Headshot_square.jpgRob Waggoner has been named as vice president over Jim Ellis Automotive Group’s Audi, Alfa Romeo and Maserati stores. Rob was born in Wisconsin and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering and has worked in various industries including manufacturing, business brokerage and internet advertising. No stranger to the car business, Rob previously owned an automotive performance facility in Duluth, Georgia and operated his own independent automotive dealership in Roswell, Georgia. Since joining the Jim Ellis Automotive Group in 2002, he has worked his way through sales, sales management, finance and general management, before assuming his current role as vice president. Between work, five children, six grandchildren, and four Corgi dogs, Rob and his wife spend their spare time boating on Lake Lanier.

Gerry Martel.jpgTaking on Rob’s former role as general manager at Audi Atlanta is Gerry Martel. Gerry earned an Associate of Arts in fashion merchandising and spent six years working for Neiman Marcus before transitioning into the automotive industry. When he joined the Jim Ellis Automotive Group in 2011, Gerry realized that the values and work ethic his mom taught him were the same values that Mr. Ellis had built the company on. Gerry’s goal is to help each department grow while delivering the utmost level of customer service. When not at work he loves spending time with his family, especially his three daughters.

Please join us in congratulating Rob and Gerry on their new positions.
