Audi Atlanta was proud to support Sweep the Hooch as a River Defender Sponsor in March. Sweep the Hooch is an annual watershed-wide cleanup day hosted at dozens of parks, tributaries, and access points along the Chattahoochee River. With a goal of cleaning up the trash left behind at our local waterways, more than 1,200 volunteers turned out for this day of service.
The results were record-breaking: just over 35 tons of trash were removed with 32.6 tons bound for the landfill and 2.76 tons recycled.The day was rewarding in so many ways. The Chattahoochee Riverkeepers are hard at work to continue protecting and restoring the Chattahoochee River Basin.
